Friends, this is very important stuff. Israel and the EU are at odds over a two-state solution to the Mideast conflict, which has been going on for 4,000 some odd years. An EU commissioner criticized Israel’s stance, and the Israeli’s didn’t take it very well. The EU is stepping up its role in the peace process and looking for a leader to bring it all together.
Israel warned the European Union on Thursday to tone down its criticism of the new Israeli government or risk forfeiting the bloc’s role as broker in Mideast peace efforts.
The warning came after EU’s commissioner for external relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, this week criticized Israel’s refusal to endorse a Palestinian state. She said an upgrade in Israeli-EU relations would depend on Israel’s commitment to the “two-state solution.”
It also came ahead of a planned trip to Europe next week by Israel’s foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman — his first official trip abroad. The ultranationalist Lieberman’s comments about Arabs and Mideast peace have raised international concerns about the new Israeli Cabinet’s intentions.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor on Thursday called Ferrero-Waldner’s comments “very militant” and contrary to understandings with other EU officials.
He said her remarks threatened to undermine understandings with the EU to maintain a “quiet dialogue” until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu completes the formulation of his foreign policy.
“If there is no coherence in the European position … this will not be useful and will not help the EU in playing a role here,” Palmor said.
There will be a seemingly “coherent position” from an expanded European Union, and it will come from the Antichrist (who is not necessarily European). This allows him to be the one who finally forges a peace contract in the Middle East (Daniel 9:27), and it will include a Palestinian state (Joel 3:2; Zechariah 14:2). But this will be a false peace, because Israel will have signed a contract with “death and hell” (Isaiah 28:15), allowing the Israeli’s to think they are at peace when they are not (Jeremiah 6:14, 8:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:3). Israel will then let her guard down, opening the door for the Russia led confederation of Psalm 83:4-5 to go against the “land of unwalled villages; a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates” (Ezekiel 38:11).
The peace contract is signed for seven years (Daniel 9:27) and marks the beginning of the Tribulation. Exactly at the halfway mark, the Russian/Arab conglomerate attacks Israel (Daniel 9:27), using the Oriental nations as backup (Revelation 16:12). The Antichrist doesn’t like his contract broken, so he moves in to stop the attack (Daniel 11:44). Russia is defeated (Joel 2:20) just as China and its hordes move in (Revelation 9:14), bringing along the largest army in the history of the world (Revelation 9:16).
At this point the Antichrist is killed and is resurrected by Satan, who incarnates him (Revelation 12:12-13, 13:12, 17:8), meaning hell has literally come to earth (Revelation 12:7-13). It is then, during the last half of the Tribulation (Revelation 13:5-6) that the Antichrist claims to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36). This blasphemy is promoted by the False Prophet (Revelation 13:12-17), a man who claims to be a Christian but is actually controlled by demons (Revelation 13:11). It is VERY likely that the next pope will be the False Prophet, and this would fulfill the St. Malachy (Archbishop of Armagh) prophesies as well as predictions made by Pope John Paul II before his death.
Fittingly, the Parliament of World Religions will take place this December in Melbourne, Australia. The purpose of this meeting is to smooth out strife between different religions while setting the stage for a one world religion. This is what the False Prophet resides over.
