The Final Countdown

Bloomberg news service reports that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is renewing his calls for a global currency system.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev may discuss his proposal to create a new world currency when he meets counterparts from Brazil, India and China this month, Natalya Timakova, a spokeswoman for the president, told reporters by phone today. Russia’s proposals for the Group of 20 meeting in London in April included studying a supranational currency.

“We need some kind of universal means of payment, which could create the basis of a future international financial system,” Medvedev said in a June 1 interview with CNBC. “Naturally, because of the crisis in the American economy, attitude to the dollar has also changed.”

The world is headed towards a global currency (Revelation 13:16-17). Major nations and globalist groups (such as the Bilderbergers) want to use the current economic mess to create a new global banking system, and have plans in place to make it happen within the next few years.

The Antichrist will use the world financial system to control the earth, but he uses socialism to attain his power (Daniel 11:24). Until recently, the United States has been the lone holdout among the superpowers of the world to shun socialism, but that has changed.  An editorial from the Russian online newspaper Pravda tells the tale:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

Be ye wise and read the whole thing. If anyone knows the perils of Marxism, it is the Russians.

Stunningly, government handouts (such as food stamps & unemployment insurance) made up 16.2% of personal income during the first quarter of this year.  For the year 2009, government handouts will exceed $2 trillion–more than $17,000 per household on average.

Yet America still lives a life of luxury. In the United States, even the homeless have Internet access and Facebook accounts. The United States will remain the chief creator of the world’s wealth (Jeremiah 51:7; Revelation 18:3, 9-20, 23) and continue as a very wealthy nation (Jeremiah 51:13, Revelation 18:3, 7) until God sends His judgment upon the land, potentially depicted in Jeremiah 50:14, 28, 29; & 51:24.

A glance at some headlines from around the world over the last 24 hours shows a continuing tanking economy:

• Germany drags eurozone faster into slump
• Hong Kong suffers record contraction
• US prices fall most since 1955

Globalization organizations, such as the Bilderbergs (who met in Greece this month), want to use the global financial mess to usher in one world government, commonly referred to as the New World Order. They will unknowingly use the Antichrist to acheive this goal.

Honestly, I used to think that people who were concerned about groups such as the Bilderbergs, Trilateral Commission, and the Illuminati had too much time on their hands. But when I started to learn more about these groups I was overwhelmed with amazement. The plans they have in place come directly from the Word of God.

• Global government (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 13:7)
• Global rule birthed in Europe  (Daniel 9:26)
• Earth ruled by one man (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 13:7)
• Implanted computer chips to track people (Revelation 13:16-18; 14:11)
• Dividing the world into 10 sections (Daniel 7:23; 11:39)

The calls for a world government are coming in from leaders all over the Western hemisphere. This will open the door for the Antichrist to take power, and he will use socialism to gain his world-wide popularity (Daniel 11:24). Programs such as the one that provides free cars to welfare recipients in Massachusetts will become commonplace.

***The Turkish-Iranian Business Forum, currently taking place in Ankara, has yielded a new trade agreement between the two countries. Ties will continue to strengthen between Iran (Ezekiel 38:5), Turkey (Ezekiel 38:6), and other nations as they form a confederation with Russia (Psalm 83:4-5) that eventually attacks Israel (Ezekiel 38:15; Luke 21:20).

***The swine flu has gone global, with the World Health Organization raising the pandemic alert to level 5. Diseases from animals, such as the avian flu and AIDS, may play a significant role during the Tribulation (Revelation 6:8).

***Even the Japanese are seeing a surge in communist and socialist philosophies among the citizenry. This is another example of how the free-world is opening its arms to collectivism, a philosophy used by the Antichrist to gain influence over the globe (Daniel 11:24).

***Albania applied for EU membership today. The EU continues to expand and will be the catalyst for a global government (Daniel 7:23).

***The United States has become a nation of no core beliefs whose citizens define their values based on opinion polls, according to Joseph Farah. This backs up a New York times story detailing the shift in the Republican stance on gay marriage, for no reason other than to get votes. As US Representative and proud Christian John Fleming says, the country is marching towards socialism and secularism. The constant degradation of American society (Isaiah 18:2, 7), and the attempt to remove God from all walks of life (Jeremiah 50:29) will lead to America’s judgment (Jeremiah 50:28).

The United Kingdom has already made sex-education mandatory for five year-olds, and now they have announced that homosexuality must be taught (including sexual aspects of it) beginning with eleven year-olds. America’s mother is truly ashamed and confounded (Jeremiah 50:12).

***Astronomers have taken a picture of an object in space 13 billion light years away. That is 76,254,048,000,000,000,000,000 miles from your computer screen. Incredible. (Luke 21:11, 25; Mark 13:24-25.)

Condensing the days news into one post worked well yesterday, so we are going to do it again. There is a lot of stuff going on.

***The Egyptian news weekly Al-Usbua reports (via the Jerusalem Post) that an Iranian vessel attempting to deliver weapons to Hamas was destroyed by either an Israeli or American vessel off the Sudanese coast. Along those lines, a report released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute today says that arms transfers to the Mideast are up 38 percent since 2004, with many of them going to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia from the United States. All this happens while Syria and Turkey stage joint military maneuvers, a “disturbing development” according to Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

It is appropriate that so many arms and military exercises are happening in the region, and all of the above nations have a part in the Russian led march on Israel (Ezekiel 38:15), but not on the same side. While Iran (Ezekiel 38:5), Syria (Isaiah 17:1, Psalm 83:8) and Turkey (Ezekiel 38:6) will join with Russia and many other Arab nations (Psalm 83:4-5), Saudi Arabia and the UAE (Ezekiel 38:13) will team with the United States to defend Israel (Isaiah 18:7).

***Israel’s population is nearing 7.5 million, with over 5.5 million of those being Jews. Yet Palestinians continue to refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will not accept eastern Jerusalem as being part of Israel, and that is critical to future events. Very soon Israel will sign a peace contract that creates a Palestinian state and divides up Jerusalem (Joel 3:2; Zechariah 14:2), but this is a contract Israel signs with “death and hell” (Isaiah 28:15) and will only last 42 months before the Russian & Arab march on Israel (Ezekiel 38:11; Daniel 9:27).

***Yesterday we wrote about the new centralized database in the works in the UK to store transcripts of all emails and phone calls that pass through the nation. British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said today that are no plans for “a central store” of data, meaning more than one computer will house information collected on the UK citizens. Smith said that all Facebook messages, texts, and web internet addresses that are visited will be recorded, as well. Another EU leader, the Antichrist (Daniel 7:24, 9:26), will attempt to monitor and track every human on the planet (Revelation 13:16-18) using ID microchips similar to the one that helped Sarah Hawley find her missing cat this weekend .

***Iceland’s prime minister, Johanna Sigurdardottir, says she wants to join the EU “as soon as possible.” The EU will become a global organization (Daniel 7:23, Revelation 13:7), usurping authority from its member nations, such as is happening now in Britian where the EU wants to force British courts to apply Sharia law in certain cases.

***IBM announced today that it is in the final stages of completing a computer program with an astounding ability to interact with humans via artificial intelligence. A robot with with such abilities will be used by the False Prophet as the “image of the beast” (Revelation 13:12-17). People who do not worship this image will be killed, often by their own family members (Mark 13:12-13). There is already an unnatural affection among mankind, such as with Jesse Fierstine, who cut out his own father’s pacemaker. It will become much worse as people begin to believe that the Antichrist is God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

***The swine flu scare continues to spread, with over 2,000 people hospitalized in Mexico, with confirmed cases in the US, Canada, Spain, the UK, and other nations. Reports now indicate that the virus may not only have pig and human components, but bird components as well. The swine flu won’t be as big as many fear, however future virus mutations from animals will be a source of widespread death during the Tribulation (Revelation 6:8).

***News continues to show the degradation of US society as same-sex couples have begun marrying in Iowa following a state Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage; state sanctioned atheism is on the rise;  70% of Americans who do not regularly attend church say they simply “gradually drifted away” from the faith (1 Timothy 4:1);  Nine out of ten teens view pornography online, many of them due to porn purveyors tricking the kids into going to seemingly innocent sites;  and professional educators are calling for a mimicking of the UK system where sex education is now compulsory for five year-olds. This pictures the continuing fall of America (Isaiah 18:2, 7;  Jeremiah 50:11) which leads to God sending His judgment (Revelation 18) though the vehicle of missiles fired over the north pole by Russia (Jeremiah 50:9).

***Jerome Corsi has crunched numbers in an attempt to show that the US is becoming the largest welfare state in world history. What is intriguing is how accepting the American people are over this rapid sprint to socialism. The US has long been the home to capitalism, and it will continue to provide the world with wealth into the Tribulation (Jeremiah 51:3; Revelation 18:11-15). However the readily acceptance of socialism by the US will make it easier for the Antichrist to gain power, for he uses socialism to curry the favor of many nations (Daniel 11:24).

***More Christians have been killed in faith-based violence in Iraq, where Christians are fleeing the country because of being targeted by extremists. Yesterday a woman and her daughter had their throats slit, while a father and his three sons were shot in their home. As mentioned yesterday, persecution of Christians is often overlooked, even among our churches. There have been more people killed for Christ in the last 100 years than in the previous 1900 years combined. Jews & Christians will continue to be targeted on an increasing scale as we approach the Tribulation hour, at which time mass killings of believers and Jews becomes global (Revelation 13:7, 12:13, 20:4; Matthew 24:9; Mark 13:9; Luke 21:12-17; John 16:2).

The leftist members of the US Supreme Court, particularly Justice David Souter, have made it a practice to rely on laws and opinions written by foreign courts when deciding US cases. Over the weekend, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said it needs to happen even more often than it already does.

Conservatives don’t like this.

“If we’re relying on a decision from a German judge about what our Constitution means, no president accountable to the people appointed that judge and no Senate accountable to the people confirmed that judge,” Chief Justice Roberts said at his confirmation hearing. “And yet he’s playing a role in shaping the law that binds the people in this country.”

That is a good argument, but the real concern is the continued push to a one-world government. This is another step being used to usurp individualism from nations in order have every thing handled on a world-wide scale. From a prophecy perspective, it is exciting! It means Jesus is coming soon!

Shortly, the world will be divided into 10 sections (plans already exist) and the Antichrist will arise (Daniel 7:20, 24) and gain control over the whole earth (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 13:7). Nations shall willing cede to him (Daniel 11:21, 24) because of his socialist agenda (Daniel 11:24). Later on he will show his true colors.
