The Final Countdown

The “alternative lifestyle” agenda has taken center stage in the last month, with some of the more notable examples being the proposed teaching of a “gay curriculum” to five year-old children, the potential “Gay Day” holiday in California (where students will be taught of the “gay legacy”), and the passage of hate crimes legislation that protects practices such as bestiality and pedophilia, while specifically targeting Christian pastors and groups who speak out against such perversions.

Here is a sampling of more news from the “alternative lifestyle” community over the past two weeks:

• Alameda County, in a never ending quest to indoctrinate little children, approved a mandatory curriculum titled, “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered Lesson #9,” which starts teaching the gay lifestyle to children in kindergarten. As with the previous “Gay Day” curricula, parents do not have a legal right to opt-out of the teaching and remove their children from the classroom. God help us.
• In what is becoming a regular occurrence, a gay male has been voted prom queen, this time at a Los Angeles area high school.
• An update from an earlier story, New Hampshire has officially legalized gay marriage after provisions to protect the rights of Christian ministers made it into the final bill. The law goes into affect on January 1, which makes gay bishop of the Episcopal church thrilled. Meanwhile, New York has moved a step closer to legalizing same-sex marriage, with a vote scheduled for June 22.
• In the UK, five year-old children (yes, that appears to be the target age of indoctrination) were whisked away to a school assembly where they were taught “what homosexual means,” and shown images of same-sex couples. This has left many students traumatized and parents outraged.
• A report from Dr. Trayce Hansen shows that pro-homosexual social scientists are concealing research that shows the affect that children endure when raised by same-sex couples.
• Thomas Beatie, who used to be Tracy Lagondino before undergoing a sex change, uh, “gender reassignment” operation, has given birth to “his” second baby. Truly, man has become inventors of evil things (Romans 1:30).

The days just before Christ return will full of wickedness. Jesus said in Matthew 24:12, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of may will grow cold.” In Matthew 24:37, Christ said, “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” The Bible describes Noah’s day in Genesis 6:5 & 11:

Paul, in 2 Timothy 3, gives a view of what the earth will be like in these final hours. From 2 Timothy 3:2-5:

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

Paul sums it up in verse 13 by stating, Evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Against the wishes of parents, California continues to push an agenda of teaching about “alternative” lifestyles to children as young as five years old. Earlier this month we wrote about the proposed “Gay Day” celebration where “Harvey Milk’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender legacy” will be mandatory teaching. Now, the Oakland/San Francisco suburb of Alameda wants these lessons taught 5 year-olds, with no opt-out available for parents who object to the material.

A group of parents in a California school district say they are being bullied by school administrators into accepting a new curriculum that addresses bullying, respect and acceptance — and that includes compulsory lessons about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community that will be taught to children as young as 5 years old.

The parents from the Unified School District in Alameda, a suburb of San Francisco and Oakland, say these issues are best learned at home and most definitely are not age-appropriate for elementary school children.

The parents are also angry that they will not be allowed to keep their children out of the classes.

“I believe these children are far too young to be learning about what these issues mean,” said Alaina Stewart, who has three children who attend elementary school in Alameda. “These are adult issues and they are being thrust upon the children.”

But the school board says otherwise, and its attorneys say that if the curriculum is adopted, the parents will have no legal right to remove their children from class when the lessons are being taught.

These aren’t the only ways the gay lifestyle is being promoted to children in California. Posters for the upcoming Folsom Street Fair are being prominently hung where children can see them. Last years, these posters mocked the Last Supper, where sex toys replaced the bread and juice. In San Diego, the Padres are holding a premium promotion to attract children to the ballpark on the same day they are recognizing the San Diego chapter of Gay Pride.

Elsewhere, same-sex marriage is taking root in New York. All the while church leaders are tossing in their support, with a majority of Protestant ministers supporting hate crimes legislation and adoption rights for gay couples. Most alarming was that 45% of respondents to this survey say they are more liberal now than 10 years ago. God help us!

We are living in the time of 2 Timothy 4:3-4, where churches are turning against sound doctrine and preaching what people want to hear, all in the name of church growth. This is leading to pews full of unconverted converts, and the great falling away from the faith that occurs just before Christ returns (2 Peter 2:1-2; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Thessalonians 2:3).

A battle is brewing in New Hampshire over the ability of churches to opt-out of participation in gay marriage. The governor wants to protect churches against lawsuits if they refuse to perform same-sex marriage on religious grounds, but he is facing opposition in the House.

Something is wrong with this picture. Ponder the following two sets of stories from the past few days.

Group one:

• U.S. boy, 8, to live as a girl after being diagnosed with ‘gender identity disorder’

Matthew 24:12 37; Genesis 6:5, 11; 1 Timothy 3:2-5; and 2 Timothy 3:13 are playing out right before our very eyes.

The Daily Mail reports that a majority of teen pregnancies in the United Kingdom now end in abortions, with pregnancy rates on the rise. All this despite the government handing out condoms and teaching sex in grade school.

Or perhaps it is because of these things.

Most pregnancies among girls under 18 ended in abortion last year.

Out of around 40,000 pregnancies more than 20,000 were terminated – the first time more had chosen this option than become mothers.

The figure is higher than 2007, when it just hit 50 per cent, and consistent with a steady upwards trend since the Government started its controversial Teenage Pregnancy Strategy in 1999.

Figures out on May 21 will also show that for the first time the number of abortions performed on women living in England and Wales topped 200,000.

The teenage pregnancy strategy, which has cost taxpayers more than £300million, was meant to halve the number of conceptions among girls under 18 in England between 1998 and 2010.

Ministers have tried to slash teenage pregnancies by freely handing out contraceptives and expanding sex education.

But the fall in pregnancy rates has not met Government targets, and in 2007 the rate actually rose.

Teenage pregnancy rates are now higher than they were in 1995. Pregnancies among girls under 16 – below the age of consent – are also at the highest level since 1998.

Critics labelled the Government scheme the ‘Teenage Abortion Strategy’.

As Tory MP Julian Brazier said, ‘This is a further sickening indicator of a society that has broken down and lost its moral compass.” No wonder the Bible seems to predict that in the time of the end, Britain (America’s mother) will be “confused and ashamed” (Jeremiah 50:12).

Sadly, the same strategy that the UK employed is on its way to the United States. Friday, the White House announced plans by President Obama to end funding for abstinence-only programs, and instead increase funding by $100 million annually to pass out birth control and increase sex education in government run schools–the exact plan that has proven disastrous in Britain.

Meanwhile, the United States government is funding a study on gay sex in Argentina bars. God help us.

Life holds no value among society at large today. Over the weekend the Washington Times ran a story entitled, “Choosing not to abort babies with disabilities.” While some of the stories shared were touching, many of the statistics and quotes are down right frightening. Doctors are pressing women to make a decision to abort their “disabled” children before the 24th week, because it becomes illegal in many states to perform an abortion at that time.

It seems a good time to remind people of the “Miracle Hand of Hope,” that of 20 week “fetus” Samuel Armas.

The West will pay for such a blatant disregard of human life (Jeremiah 50:14, 28-29; 51:24).
