At the midpoint of the Tribulation the Antichrist will claim to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Daniel 11:36; Revelation 13:5-6), and with the help of the False Prophet unsaved people will believe him (Revelation 13:12-17). The Antichrist will then make it his mission to kill the Jews and Christians who are on earth during that time (Daniel 7:21, 25; Revelation 13:7, 12;13, 20:4; Matthew 24:9; Mark 13:9, 12-13; Luke 21:12-17; John 16:2).
Amazingly, people will turn in their own family members for being Christians and hand them over to be killed (Mark 13:9-13). With that in mind I am going to occasionally post some headlines showing that the natural love between family members is eroding quickly in our culture. It will be no surprise that millions of believers are given over to the executioner by “loved” ones.

I reiterate that we do not believe Barack Obama fulfills the profile for the coming Antichrist, even though we chronicled many ways that the President meets the Biblical description of the coming world dictator. Given that, a headline from World Net Daily jumps off the page; it reads, Obama ‘like Romans who destroyed Jewish Temples.’ The article recounted Lamentations that were being read in front of the US consulate in Jerusalem.
Daniel 9:26 says, “The people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This was done by Roman generals Vespasian and Titus in 70 AD, and is one of the reasons we know the Antichrist will come from the Revived Roman Empire.

USA Today reports that Pope Benedict XVI is using his third encyclical to call for a God-centered global economy. This one statement alone is fascinating on so many levels.
First, the Bible teaches that there will be a global economy (Revelation 13:16-18), and it will indeed be god-centered. That is ‘god’, with a lowercase ‘g.’ This world economy will be under the control of the Antichrist (Revelation 13:16), who claims to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 13:5-6) and is worshipped as God by billions of people around the globe (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). All of this will be facilitated by the False Prophet (Revelation 13:12-17), predicted for centuries to be the final pope–and the next one after Benedict XVI–by men such as St. Malachy and Pope John Paul II.

News from the last week shows the world is continuing to move towards globalization at a rapid pace:
While seemingly unrelated, these four headlines are closely connected. The coming global government will begin in the EU and will include dividing the world into 10 ‘zones’ (Daniel 2:44; 7:7, 20, 23; 11:39; Revelation 12:3; 13:1; 17:3, 7, 12, 16). Once worldwide, the EU-birthed government will give its leadership over to the Antichrist (Daniel 7:8, 20, 24; 9:26; Revelation 13:1), who will attempt to use a global currency system to keep tabs on every human being (Revelation 13:16-18), plotting to kill those who refuse to use it (Revelation 20:4).

Before I begin, let me make it perfectly, undeniably clear that I am not asserting that President Barrack Obama is the Antichrist. I do not believe he is, for reasons I will get into at the end of this post. And even if he were the Antichrist (and for the third time, I don’t think he is–just to be clear!), we Christians wouldn’t know it, for the Antichrist is not revealed to the world until we are off the scene (2 Thessalonians 2:6-8). As a Christian, it is my duty to honor, respect, and submit to those in authority over me (Romans 13:1, 1 Peter 2:13-18) unless that causes me to contradict a direct commandment of our Lord (Acts 5:28-29).
For these reasons, I want to be very careful not to imply anything, nor should you infer assertions that are not there. That said, the Bible’s description of the Antichrist is strikingly in tune with who President Obama is, and even though I do not believe Obama is the terrible one who is to come, it provides a good opportunity to illustrate how the Antichrist will rise to prominence and how he will attain his great power.

As we alluded to last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally endorsed a sovereign Palestine, albeit with a host of conditions. The Palestinian state would have to agree to be demilitarized, cede control of its airspace, and the Palestinians would have to officially recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Most importantly, Netanyahu said dividing Jerusalem is out of the question. Predictably, the last two conditions were met with disdain by Arab leaders, with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas saying Netanyahu had killed the peace process and ensured “another round of violence and bloodshed.” A Palestinian official asserted that Netanyahu wanted to “kill off any chance of peace,” while the leader of Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, characterized the Israeli PM as a “war criminal” for rejecting President Obama’s policies.
One of the more fascinating aspects of this is the involvement of the Obama Administration.

In perhaps the greatest sign we’ve seen in years that proves the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will announced Sunday that he is open to a sovereign Palestine. This is a dramatic shift in policy for Israel, and removes the greatest barrier to the signing of a peace contract in the Middle East, an event that marks the beginning of the Tribulation (Daniel 9:27).
We have pointed out many times that seemingly the whole world is calling for a two-state solution. Even Netanyahu’s own Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, has recently endorsed a Palestinian state. President Barack Obama has been heavily involved in pressuring Israel to yield to the idea of a sovereign Palestine. The US holds a lot of sway over Israel (esepcially concerning Iran), even to the point where King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia said Obama should “impose a solution” to the Mideast conflict. Obama’s Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, says the US wants to see a ‘Palestinian state as soon as possible.’
(I will have much, much more to say about Barack Obama’s involvement in the peace process after Netanyahu’s speech early next week. There are some amazing things going on that I have been chalking up to coincidence or, at best, foreshadowing. Now information is piling up to a level that is impossible to ignore.)
The Tribulation begins when a world leader negotiates a seven year peace contract between Israel and the nations of the Middle East (Daniel 9:27). As we’ve said all along, this brokered peace deal will involve a Palestinian state (Joel 3:2, Zechariah 14:2). This will be a temporary peace because the Jews and Palestinians will both want complete control over Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:2-3).

A glance at some headlines from around the world over the last 24 hours shows a continuing tanking economy:
Globalization organizations, such as the Bilderbergs (who met in Greece this month), want to use the global financial mess to usher in one world government, commonly referred to as the New World Order. They will unknowingly use the Antichrist to acheive this goal.
Honestly, I used to think that people who were concerned about groups such as the Bilderbergs, Trilateral Commission, and the Illuminati had too much time on their hands. But when I started to learn more about these groups I was overwhelmed with amazement. The plans they have in place come directly from the Word of God.

- Global rule birthed in Europe (Daniel 9:26)
- Earth ruled by one man (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 13:7)
- Implanted computer chips to track people (Revelation 13:16-18; 14:11)
- Dividing the world into 10 sections (Daniel 7:23; 11:39)
The calls for a world government are coming in from leaders all over the Western hemisphere. This will open the door for the Antichrist to take power, and he will use socialism to gain his world-wide popularity (Daniel 11:24). Programs such as the one that provides free cars to welfare recipients in Massachusetts will become commonplace.

Friends, this is very important stuff. Israel and the EU are at odds over a two-state solution to the Mideast conflict, which has been going on for 4,000 some odd years. An EU commissioner criticized Israel’s stance, and the Israeli’s didn’t take it very well. The EU is stepping up its role in the peace process and looking for a leader to bring it all together.
Israel warned the European Union on Thursday to tone down its criticism of the new Israeli government or risk forfeiting the bloc’s role as broker in Mideast peace efforts.
The warning came after EU’s commissioner for external relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, this week criticized Israel’s refusal to endorse a Palestinian state. She said an upgrade in Israeli-EU relations would depend on Israel’s commitment to the “two-state solution.”
It also came ahead of a planned trip to Europe next week by Israel’s foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman — his first official trip abroad. The ultranationalist Lieberman’s comments about Arabs and Mideast peace have raised international concerns about the new Israeli Cabinet’s intentions.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor on Thursday called Ferrero-Waldner’s comments “very militant” and contrary to understandings with other EU officials.
He said her remarks threatened to undermine understandings with the EU to maintain a “quiet dialogue” until Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu completes the formulation of his foreign policy.
“If there is no coherence in the European position … this will not be useful and will not help the EU in playing a role here,” Palmor said.

Israeli leaders are worried about President Barrack Obama’s stance on the Middle East peace process.
Contrary to initial expectations, President Obama has wasted no time becoming fully engaged in the Middle East peace process, despite the magnitude of his domestic political agenda. While Mr Netanyahu has refused to endorse a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict agreed to by his predecessor, President Obama has made it abundantly clear that the US will accept nothing less than Israel living side by side with a sovereign Palestinian state.
Mr Obama is also demanding a freeze on Jewish settlement expansion in the West Bank, and has dropped the Bush administration’s opposition to Hamas being part of a future Palestinian Authority government.
A two-state solution (Joel 3:2) will no doubt be the key part of the 7-year peace contract forged by the Antichrist (Daniel 9:27), who will be the leader of the EU and come from 11th horn, possibly Spain (Daniel 7:24). Like some other US leaders, President Obama may be unknowingly laying the groundwork for the Antichrist to bring temporary peace to the Middle East.
