Making pregnancy and abortion ‘sexy’

June 21st, 2009 Kevin McDaniel No comments

There is a growing movement by government and media in the West to make sex–and the following abortion–not only seem normal, but something to take pride in. In the UK, doctors and pro-life forces are up in arms over newly relaxed regulations that will now allow condom manufactures and abortion clinics to advertise on TV and radio during all hours of the day. In the US, the New York Times is running a series on “parenting” that includes an article praising a woman for her decision to abort her child so it wouldn’t interfere with the “mom’s” graduate studies. The day prior to this story, the Times ran a report about Americans of Chinese, Indian, and Korean descent who abort unborn girls because boys are of such high value to their cultures. This was deemed to be a normal and acceptable practice.

It is no secret that children are inundated with sex. A recent study by Children’s Hospital Boston found that kids between 6-8 who watch prime-time TV are more likely to start having sexy between the ages of 12 and 14.

Thank the Lord for women like Nuala Conway, who was told by her doctor that she needed to abort “several” of her unborn sextuplets. Nuala responded by trusting God and saying, “Whatever God laid out for our lives we are taking it.” Now she has 6 beautiful newborn children.

The continual degradation of Western society (Isaiah 18:2, 7) will lead to God’s judgment (Jeremiah 50:14, 28, 29; 51:24).

Poll: A Pro-life majority in America

May 14th, 2009 Kevin McDaniel No comments

According to a newly released Gallup Poll on abortion, for the first time more Americans consider themselves pro-life than pro-choice. According to the survey, conducted last weekend, 51% of respondents are in favor of life, while 42% take the opposite position. A deeper look shows that only 22% of those polled think that abortion should be legal under any circumstance, a 6% decline in the last year.

While better than the alternative of abortion, the number of out of wed-lock births continues to rise world-wide. In the United States, 40% of all births in 2007 were to unwed mothers. In Iceland, two-out-of-three women who have babies are unmarried.

As we mentioned earlier this week, the jump in teen pregnancies and abortions directly coincides with the rise of government financed sexual education, and is worse in nations with liberal sex-ed programs. Thankfully, the United States government is spending money on studying gay sex in Argentina and helping Chinese prostitutes drink less. Lord forgive us.

Things are worse in Spain, where the government wants to forbid a ban on abortion to “preserve the dignity of women.”

Majority of teen pregnancies end in abortion

May 10th, 2009 Kevin McDaniel No comments

The Daily Mail reports that a majority of teen pregnancies in the United Kingdom now end in abortions, with pregnancy rates on the rise. All this despite the government handing out condoms and teaching sex in grade school.

Or perhaps it is because of these things.

Most pregnancies among girls under 18 ended in abortion last year.

Out of around 40,000 pregnancies more than 20,000 were terminated – the first time more had chosen this option than become mothers.

The figure is higher than 2007, when it just hit 50 per cent, and consistent with a steady upwards trend since the Government started its controversial Teenage Pregnancy Strategy in 1999.

Figures out on May 21 will also show that for the first time the number of abortions performed on women living in England and Wales topped 200,000.

The teenage pregnancy strategy, which has cost taxpayers more than £300million, was meant to halve the number of conceptions among girls under 18 in England between 1998 and 2010.

Ministers have tried to slash teenage pregnancies by freely handing out contraceptives and expanding sex education.

But the fall in pregnancy rates has not met Government targets, and in 2007 the rate actually rose.

Teenage pregnancy rates are now higher than they were in 1995. Pregnancies among girls under 16 – below the age of consent – are also at the highest level since 1998.

Critics labelled the Government scheme the ‘Teenage Abortion Strategy’.

As Tory MP Julian Brazier said, ‘This is a further sickening indicator of a society that has broken down and lost its moral compass.” No wonder the Bible seems to predict that in the time of the end, Britain (America’s mother) will be “confused and ashamed” (Jeremiah 50:12).

Sadly, the same strategy that the UK employed is on its way to the United States. Friday, the White House announced plans by President Obama to end funding for abstinence-only programs, and instead increase funding by $100 million annually to pass out birth control and increase sex education in government run schools–the exact plan that has proven disastrous in Britain.

Meanwhile, the United States government is funding a study on gay sex in Argentina bars. God help us.

Life holds no value among society at large today. Over the weekend the Washington Times ran a story entitled, “Choosing not to abort babies with disabilities.” While some of the stories shared were touching, many of the statistics and quotes are down right frightening. Doctors are pressing women to make a decision to abort their “disabled” children before the 24th week, because it becomes illegal in many states to perform an abortion at that time.

It seems a good time to remind people of the “Miracle Hand of Hope,” that of 20 week “fetus” Samuel Armas.

The West will pay for such a blatant disregard of human life (Jeremiah 50:14, 28-29; 51:24).

Mandatory ID cards; sick “wrongful birth” lawsuit; more

April 30th, 2009 Kevin McDaniel No comments

***In the UK, the fight over mandatory biometric ID cards is heating up. Some are now pushing to require only passports to be tagged with personal data, an effort to save money. A similar measure in the United States (Real ID Act) was set to go into effect in May 2008, but has since been given a mandatory comply date of May 11, 2011. Most states will be in compliance well before that date.

These actions are laying the groundwork for the Antichrist to tag all humans (Revelation 13:16-18). The Antichrist will take control after the earth is divided into 10 zones (Daniel 7:20, 24, 9:26), issue the “mark of the beast” (Revelation 13:17), and track people, probably using an already existing supercomputer at European Union headquarters known as the Belgian Electronic Accounting Surveillance Terminal–the BEAST. What at appropriate name as this computer will control economic activity (Revelation 13:16-18) and provide surveillance through GPS location technology.

***In an absolutely sick development, a British couple is suing the National Health Service because the NHS failed to talk them into having an abortion. Yes, we have a “wrongful-birth” lawsuit because the child was born with some defects. Meanwhile, a debate rages in Britian over whether it is sexist to tell women not to consume alcohol while pregnant. Back in the US, Democrat Senator Patty Murry says that laws that allow physicians who oppose abortion to refuse to perform the procedure are “short-sighted” and should be overturned by President Obama. God help us.

Also from the US, New Hampshire is poised to become the fifth state to legalize gay marriage, with more soon to follow. The homosexual movement is having great success this month, with three more states now allowing same-sex marriage. Additionally, the US House of Representatives passed a bill that will give gays protections that heterosexuals do not enjoy.

The United States is sliding backwards (Isaiah 18:2, 7) and has detached from its Godly founding (Jeremiah 50:28), and her mother Britain is becoming an absolute mess (Jeremiah 50:12). It is because of these sins that God sends His judgment upon America (Jeremiah 50:14, 28), likely in the form of a nuclear missile attack (Jeremiah 50:14, 29, 51:3, 11) from Russia (Jeremiah 50:9, 41, 51:48) , fired directly over top the north pole.

***China has reopened its borders with North Korea, allowing citizens to freely travel between the nations. China and North Korea have strong relations, and they will only strengthen over the next few years as these two nations join with others to march on the Middle East (Revelation 16:12).

***A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shook southern Iran Thursday. Because of its location on a seismic fault, it isn’t out of the ordinary for Iran to experience significant jolts several times a month. However, the strength of these quakes are intensifying, one of the signs that Jesus is coming soon (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8; Luke 21:11).  During the Tribulation earthquakes reach an incredible magnitude, especially in the Mid East region (Revelation 6:12, 8:5, 11:13, 19).

Still, the most powerful earthquakes in history are reserved for the Lord Jesus Christ. The two previous greatest quakes occurred at the crucifixion (Matthew 27:51-54) and the resurrection (Matthew 28:2). But the grandest of them all happens when Jesus ascends to earth and places His feet on the Mount of Olives (Revelation 16:18), causing the Mount to split from east to west, creating a large valley (Zechariah 14:4).

***In Lebanon, jailed Brigadier General Jamil al-Sayyed was among those released by a UN-backed tribunal, a move that many feel will enhance chances of Hezbollah gaining power during the June 22 elections (which we touched on briefly yesterday). Whether it happens after the June 22 elections or at a later date, Lebanon will be controlled by anti-Israeli factions and join with Russia (Psalm 83:7) to attack Israel (Psalm 83:4-5).
