Iran upset about Israeli “threats”
From the It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious file, Iran wants the UN Security Council to slap Israel around for threatening to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Iran demanded on Tuesday that the U.N. Security Council respond firmly to what it described as Israel’s “unlawful and insolent threats” to launch an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres, have suggested the Jewish state could use military force to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons, as the West suspects it is doing. Iran insists it is only interested in building reactors that peacefully generate electricity. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has said Israel should be “wiped off the map,” has vowed to continue his country’s nuclear program.
Yes, the same Iran who is “counting down to Israel’s end,” predicting a “boiling wrath” that leads to “Israel’s collapse”, says Israel “cannot survive,” promises “Israel will be annihilated,” vows to “target Israel first,” proclaims Israel is “doomed to destruction,” says “Israel will soon disappear,” calls for a “great war” to “wipe out Israel,” states “Israel’s destruction is near,” says Israel (and the US) will “vanish like the pharaohs,” and who predicts that Israel and the US “will soon die,” is now upset because Israel says she might try to stop it. Insane.
